Why do people care what I do with it.
My own life indeed with all these people
Trying to get a piece of it,
Not knowing that they are opening Pandora’s.
So let me venture into the deeper for myself….
I know they mean good, but it is ‘My Life’.
‘My life’ means independence from the meddlers;
Besides don’t they have their hands busy with their own lives?
Do they want me to be what they where not?
Is ‘My Life’ the shadow of their dreams…..?

yes, it is, and no one wnats to get a piece of it, instead, some want to be a part of it...
we dont each live on an island on our own, we share one planet and so we are inevitably part of ech others lives somehow...we all connected!
i do agree, some meddlers should just mind thier own business, but you never know, a lonly wonderer could walk into your life an profoundly touch it...sometimes the people who have had the biggest impact on my life have been strangers...so it can be suprisingly rewarding sometimes to open up and share yourself!

I'm tempted to argue that it isn't your life to begin with since you have no full rights of ownership over anything and everything you have. You, like the rest of us mere mortals, are a steward- not an owner. Fortunately, or not, we were designed in such a way that meddling & sticking fingers into other people's business is ingrained into us. (some more than others!)
As with every invention/creation, there is a manual/guide which directs the user on how to use it. I'm guessing we don't invest enough time in studying this plan and end up doing a lot of negative meddling.

i was 18 i think.it was about the time that my old folks were really into my business."ofcourse its their business,especially since tey where paying my tuition" u would say;but the thing is,at that age u can only advise someone and as opposed to bestow things on an individual.
the pinnacle was when they would ask me wat i wanted to become in life.i gave them an honest answer,"i dont know".this ticked them off,getting them saying "how an adult like myself doesnt know wat he wants in life".
so they tried to bestow onto me degree courses at the uni which i should do.e.g law or accounts.
i knew i had the ability to do the degree programmes they suggested,but didnt want to be pressured.so the more they "advised" me to them,the more i resented them..
so in the end picked I.T which choice i havnt regretted as now i have got a kick-ass job which pays well n which i enjoy n am learning alot from..
i gues that i treasure my space...at times can be super introvert n pencive,but then their are times wen am the total opposite..
so if i meet someone wen in the state of extrovert,then the next time we meet i could be introvert-ish.....blah blah
nwaythe reason for this poem at te time was coz my parents wanted me to do the things which they didnt get to do at the university thus the line

When you say they wanted to 'bestow onto' you, it sounds quite grand. It's like a phrase out of a book by one of the Bronte sisters or Charles Dickens.
It was a fine deed that they intended to do but their motivation, if it is that which you stated was not the best kind there is. One cannot expect one's children to live out one's youth for them; just as one cannot expect a friend, no matter how close, to feel one's pain. We are all too different to be alike!
